The UNESCO Serial Sites are located in seven places in Italy, spread from north to south. All the secrets and treasures of Lombard culture are preserved in these monuments: churches, monasteries, fortresses and shrines that are landmarks of the Lombard people’s history.

World Heritage sites

The Serial Site “Longobards in Italy. Places of the Power (568-774 A.D.)” was listed as UNESCO World Heritage in 2011. These seven groups of monuments bear witness to the great cultural importance of the Lombard people in the historical period between the Classical and Medieval eras.
